Your Dos and Don'ts
Dos
Don'ts
Provide Clear Visual
Upload high-quality design files showing clear front-face of the design. File must comply with the resolution, file format and file size requirement.
Include exact dimensions
Specify the overall height and width of the plush, along with precise measurements for ears, arms, legs, and any accessories.
Specify materials and finishes
Clearly indicate the fabric type (e.g., minky, velboa, fleece), desired pile length, whether details should use embroidery or printed fabric, and exact thread colors for stitching and accents.
Avoid using unapproved assets
Do not use unapproved reference images in your submissions. Only submit assets that you own or have full legal rights to use and avoid IP infringement. In the event of any IP infringement, the liability and risk rest entirely with the creators.
Change major design elements after prototype approval
Significant changes after the final sample is approved will delay production and may incur extra costs — stick to minor tweaks when possible.
Don’t skip color standards
“Blue” (or any vague color name) is not sufficient — always provide precise color codes (e.g., Pantone, HEX #0055A4, RGB 0,85,164, or CMYK values) to ensure exact matching during production.
Don’t overcomplicate small parts
Avoid ultra-thin elements, sharp points, or tiny accessories — these are difficult to sew accurately and often fail quality checks or durability tests
Prioritize safety
Avoid small detachable parts for plush toys intended for children, and clearly specify the target age grading (e.g., 3+, 0-3 years) when applicable to ensure compliance with safety standards.
Allow manufacturing tolerance
Please allow for a natural variation of ±3–5% in overall size, individual part measurements, and placement of details due to the handmade nature of plush production.
Indicate packaging preferences early
Specify if you want individual polybags, custom boxes, hang tags, stickers, or eco-friendly options so we can plan accordingly.
Don’t assume all fabrics behave the same
Stretch, shine, and pile direction can significantly change the final appearance and feel of your plush. Always test samples or request fabric swatches before production.
Don’t wait to flag cost limits
Share your target unit cost early so we can optimize materials and construction to fit your budget.
